With every season that comes along, I am someone that is guilty of applying heat on my hair all year-round. (Shrugs).
We’ve heard it time and time again, “avoid using heat on your hair” but do we listen? I know I don’t. Sometimes I try to give my hair a bit of a “heat break,” but I know what I like for my hair on myself and I’m wrong for styling my hair the way I want.
We’ve also heard it time and time again that if you’re straightening, curling, blow-drying your hair, you need to protect it with a heat protectant. This may sound like an obvious but hear me out on this one because no one told me…
Without the use of a heat protectant in my early years of styling my hair, it obviously became dry, damaged, and often times, I found myself not being able to do much with it because the quality of it was so low. A good heat protectant is great to keep in your corner so that you can minimize the damage and have a shield against the high-temperature tools you put on your hair.
Of all the heat protectants I’ve tried over the course of the last ten years (which is an embarrassing amount to admit), I am a firm believer that I have found what works best for me and while most heat protectants were not made for all hair types, I wanted to share with you a great product that works wonders on all hair types.

I have nothing but great things to say about this product. It became my holy grail product for me last year and I always find myself gravitating back to it. It is alcohol-free, contains arnica extract and leaves my hair feeling silky. Literally, it’s everything I could ask for in a thermal protectant. It truly polishes my hair to perfection and makes it shine throughout the day.
